When the great champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) chooses Rocky to face him for a title, Rocky trains very hard to defeat. That first film was based on the great fight between Muhammad Ali and Chuck Wepner. In total there are six Rocky films, released between 1976 and 2006. For them, Stallone trained as a real boxer, and learned the moves and bumps running professional boxers. The entire series of films grossed over one billion dollars around the globe.
